CA Foundation Registration May 2026: The CA Foundation exam registration in May 2026 has been opened. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is going to close this registration on May 1, 2026. Students can register for the May 2026 session through the official website, icai.org. The total registration cost is ₹9,600 for Indian candidates. The candidates must register at least four months prior to the exam month.
To be eligible for the CA Foundation exam, the candidates are required to register with the Board of Studies and complete the stipulated study duration. Under the revised scheme, CA Foundation exams will be held three times a year from June 2024, in May/June, September, and January. The earlier last date of registration for the May 2025 exam was January 1, 2025.

Registration for May 2026 CA Foundation Exam closes on Jan 1, 2026(tentatively), at the Board of Studies in ICAI. Register at icai.org. Fee is Rs. 9600 for Indian students. Aspirants intending to appear for the Class XII exams in April 2026 must note that the deadline for registration for the Foundation Course, so as to appear for the Foundation Examination in May 2026, is May 1, 2026. The following is the process to register for CA Foundation May 2026:
Step 1: Visit the ICAI official website: icaiexam.icai.org.
Step 2: Enter your details and click to generate an OTP. This would be sent to your registered mobile number or email.
Step 3: Input the OTP for verification.
Step 4: Upon verification, you’ll receive login credentials through email or SMS.
Step 5: Use these credentials to log in to the ICAI website.
Step 6: Select the student cycle on the left-hand side and subsequently click on ‘Apply for Foundation.’
Step 7: The CA Foundation form will open with some of the details pre-filled. Fill in the rest of the parts and click on ‘Save and Next.’
Step 8: Upload the necessary documents in scanned form.
Step 9: Upload your photo and signature.
Step 10: Pay CA Foundation registration fees online to finalize the registration.
Step 11: Take a printout of the registration form, affix the required documents, and post it to ICAI’s postal address.
Step 12: After getting registered, ICAI will send the CA Foundation study material to you via their Centralized Dispatch System (CDS).
